Indigent Care What payment options are available? The LMC accepts
most insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. We do not accept credit cards at
this time. Does the LMC provide free healthcare? We're sorry, but the services at the Lamar Medical Center are not free. Also the Center does not give away free medicine. However, the Center does help patients find resources to assist with the cost of their healthcare and finds programs to help reduce the costs of their medicines. Does the LMC provide indigent care? Yes, there is an
Indigent Program available for people without health insurance, but
they must qualify in order to participate. If the patient qualifies for the
Indigent Program, they will be required to at least pay a copay. Patients
can apply for the Indigent Program by completing an application and
interview. Listed below is the information that will be required in order to
determine eligibility for the Indigent Program.
The indigent
application process is 30-60 days, provided all paperwork is completed. |
