Asher (30907)

Benjamin (30815)

On Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 4:14 pm, our lives were changed forever.  Our son, EarlDylan Ewing was born 16 weeks ahead of schedule.  He was 1lb.3 0z. at birth.  Three days later, early Friday morning around 1:30 am, were called and told to come to the hospital because Dylan wasn’t going to make it through the night.  That is what the doctors said.  We prayed. Our families prayed.  Our friends prayed.  Our church prayed.Strangers prayed.  Now it is 6 months later and Dylan is alive, weighing 10lbs, 12.5 ozs.  He has endured 6 surgeries so far and we know that God brought him through and He brought us through.  We give God the glory, honor, and praise for ALL things, good or bad, large or small.  Dylan has touched so many lives and he is definitely a blessing –OUR MIRACLE BABY!!  If the family is present I’d like for them to stand with the Miracle Baby.

Ephraim is sending up praises for second grade author, and I did say author, Monai Tripp who wrote and illustrated her own book: “The Giraffe that Reached the Sky”.  Monai’s mother had the book published and she encourages all students to become writers.

Sister Sabrina Washington is giving praise to God for He and He alone is worthy .  She is thanking God for daughter Tequila being blessed with a job at Immaculate Conception School teaching 5th. and 6th.grade Science and  Social Studies.  She is also thanking and praising God for her oldest son, Vittirio who was given an internship at C.M. Tucker in Columbia. S.C. which completes his requirements for graduating from college in December.  Last , but certainly not least, her youngest son, Christopher was blessed to finish this past school year with the highest average in 4th. grade.

Brother Joe and Shirley Samuels have two reasons to celebrate and give thanks this 5th. Sunday. Their oldest son, Robert turned 50 on June 18th. and became a senior rookie halfway through the Regions Cup Golf Tournament Circuit.  He played well in his first two tournaments and went on to win  the third tournament at Midland Valley.

They are also rejoicing in the fact that their granddaughter, Jilliam, has accepted a full five year scholarship to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she will study at the Edwin L. Cox School of Business and play on the Women’s Basketball Team.  The Samuels are looking forward to attending Jillian’s high school graduation in May 2006.
