Large Text (The Book of Luke)
This inspired Word falls off the pen of Luke, the physician before Jesus touched him and expanded his job to healing souls. . . . Jesus will not only change you, but He will baptize your spirit and change what you do. . . . Luke’s purpose for writing this Gospel was to give an accurate and orderly account of the life of Jesus.
Short Text
This Word is gripped in the whole notion that when you are trying to get to Jesus . . . you have to deal with at least three sets of people:
· People who want to see you healed
· Folk who will stand in the way of your healing; and
· Folk who will take you up . . . to let you down.
Text: Luke 5:17-19 (NIV)
Sermon Proposition
In light of the fact that every let-down is painful but not necessarily negative and some let-downs are designed to release you, heal you and grow you and none of us want to miss our deliverance or breakthrough through contact isolation, allow me some pen time to suggest three ideas relative to the subject, “Be Careful How and Where You Let Me Down.” In advance, here they are:
1. You got to go through to get to;
2. Physically down, but spiritually up; and
3. You can’t seek your blessing living on “like.”
