Large Text (The Book of Daniel)
This inspired book fell off the pen of one of the four major prophets in the Old Testament. This book is purposed in sovereign clarification that God is the only God and He is in full control. Secondly, to encourage God’s people even while they were in bondage in a heathen nation.
Short Text
This Word is gripped in the whole notion of pragmatic faith. Pragmatic faith is that faith which allows you to take a stand and step into the unknown and trust the relationship with a God Who has been there to be there. Pragmatic faith is informed expectation that empowers believers to move ahead in confidence and execute the promises of God. This kind of faith neutralizes fear and gives us the ability to press on.
Text: Daniel 3:16-18 (NKJV)
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up."
Three ideas relative to the subject:
1. Trust His plan;
2. Be careful who you try to burn; and
3. Worship will get Him there ahead of schedule.
